The Workforce Development Division of South Plains College is a dynamic organization designed to meet the just-in-time training needs of businesses and individuals of our region.

Short Courses are scheduled (Fall, Spring and Summer). Typically, these courses require between 4 and 150 classroom hours. Course titles vary widely and change in response to the market.

Contract Training is where the Workforce Division shines! You can contract with us to provide facilities, teaching aids and qualified instructors for a wide variety of topic areas. We provide these services after work, weekends, or during business hours. Customized training may be conducted at your site or at one of our facilities.

Online classes offer the students the opportunity to complete a variety of courses that will help you land the job of your dreams or enhance your current skills from the convenience of your home and at your own pace.

We also have training partnerships with other specialized training providers in areas such as professional truck driving, construction trades, pilot training, etc.

The ACT Center is a high-stakes testing center. We have contracts with ACT and ISO Quality Testing to administer several hundred computer-based tests.
