WorkStudy
Federal Work Study (CWS) and/or Texas Work Study
(TWS) programs offer students an opportunity to earn financial aid
through work.
Eligibility
To receive a College Work Study job, a student must
have applied for financial aid within SPC’s established
deadlines, be eligible for the award based on the federal need
analysis, meet South Plains College’s financial aid
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements, and be enrolled
during the fall and/or spring semesters.
Awards
Awards are made on a first-come, first-serve basis
to students who have requested college work-study and who meet all
requirements. The largest College Work Study award given is
for nineteen (19) hours of work per week. Smaller awards are
given, depending on the financial need of the student.
Presently the pay rate for every work study student is $6.55 per
