Industry-Relevant Curriculum

Our program features a structured, tiered approach to professional development:

  • Basic Fire Academy (Level 1 Certificate, 25 credit hours) — Core training in structural firefighting, built to exceed Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) minimum standards and prepare you for state certification. 

  • Advanced Fire Technology (Level 2 Certificate, +20 hrs) — Specialize in Emergency Medicine (EMT-Basic & Advanced EMT) or advanced Fire Service skills through training aligned with FESHE curriculum. 

  • Associate of Applied Science in Fire Technology (60 credit hours) — Combine certification training with general education, laying the foundation for leadership roles, such as fire officer or fire inspector.
